The WAESCHEFABRIK, a former industrial building located at Gerichtstraße 27 in Berlin, was constructed between 1910 and 1912 by Berliner Wäschefabrik AG. The building is situated in the Berlin district of Wedding, in close proximity to Wedding city train station.

The project

The building is a listed five-storey factory with a basement and a long inner courtyard. Thanks to ongoing and careful maintenance measures over the past decades, the original structure of the building has been preserved to this day.

As part of a revitalization project, the building is currently being transformed into a modern sustainable office space in an industrial loft style, aiming for LEED Gold certification. The inner courtyard, previously used as a parking lot, will be greened and made available as a communal space for all building users upon completion.

BCL is responsible for the construction logistics planning and execution.
