The Bavarian State Ministry for Science and the Arts is constructing a new rehearsal and workshop centre for the Bavarian State Theatre in Munich.

The project

This modern building will soon provide a contemporary home for art and culture and is being realised as a combined rehearsal and workshop Centre. This innovative project is part of Munich's "Cultural Cascade" initiative and an integral element of Bavaria's cultural agenda. The Free State of Bavaria is investing approximately €196 million in this architecturally ambitious and functionally sophisticated new construction.

The site, covering an area of 9,995 m², is located in Munich's Bogenhausen district. The development includes three rehearsal stages, stage workshops, as well as areas for props and the costume archive.

BCL is responsible for the planning and execution of construction logistics.
