The construction project involved the new build of a five-class entry primary school with a canteen, a triple sports hall with community use, outdoor sports facilities, a service flat for the building management, and a children's centre, accommodating two nursery groups, two kindergarten groups, and one after-school care group.
The project
Due to the growing population in the Ramersdorf-Perlach district and the structural condition of the old primary school and associated buildings, the city of Munich decided to gradually demolish the existing structures and replace them with a modern, needs-based new building.
In January 2021, construction work began with the children's centre, followed by the new sports hall and, with a slight delay, the new primary school, as well as the redesign of the outdoor spaces. The existing buildings remained in use until the completion of each new building, which posed a particular challenge for the construction logistics.
BCL was responsible for the construction logistics planning and execution.
