The project

The focus is on the renewal and spatial consolidation of the highly frequented outpatient clinics and intervention rooms. The new building comprises buildings 07A (including an underground car park) and 07B, as well as the Eastern Switzerland Children's Hospital (OKS). Building 07A was occupied in spring/summer 2024 and became fully operational at the beginning of July 2024. The construction of building 07B will begin in spring 2025, marking the final stage of the project. It is connected to building 07A and creates synergies across multiple floors.

BCL is responsible for the execution of construction logistics.

The main challenge lies in the central city location, the high volume of delivery traffic in the surrounding area and on the construction site, as well as the immediate proximity to the existing hospital, which will remain operational throughout the entire construction period. This requires precise coordination of deliveries and a sensitive approach to the hospital’s resting time.
