A new business and residential district has been developed on the site of the former Oberpostdirektion at Überseering 30. It consists of an oval-shaped office building (12 floors), a daycare centre, restaurants, local amenities, and two curved residential buildings with a total of 523 housing units, divided into 18 entrances. The entire complex is connected underground by a car park.
The project
The design of this extraordinary building complex was conceived by KBNK Architekten, who drew inspiration from the waterfront promenade of the famous Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro.
The district is intended to bring more vibrancy and diversity, as before construction, the north of the city was primarily dominated by office buildings. Green inner courtyards with play areas and quiet zones are designed to create a welcoming atmosphere and contribute to well-being.
BCL was responsible for the planning and execution of the construction logistics.
