In the heart of Berlin-Mitte, the Komische Oper is being extensively renovated, modernized and expanded. In addition to the structural renovation with contemporary theater and building technology, a new building with a roof terrace, store, café, offices and rehearsal rooms is being built.

The project

The construction project is a complex undertaking in a central location on a busy arterial road. A particular challenge for the construction logistics is to efficiently manage the intensive delivery traffic and at the same time take into account the sensitive neighborhood - in particular a hotel, an embassy and the Bavarian state representation.

As part of the early action, dismantling work, protective measures and the professional removal of pollutants will be carried out. In this context, we are responsible for securing and storing listed cultural assets. In addition, we carry out inspection measures in the so-called black areas, where pollutant remediation, the dismantling of contaminated materials (e.g. doors, cladding, floors) and demolition work are carried out. We check whether these areas are properly sealed.

BCL is responsible for carrying out the construction logistics. The continuation of our services as part of the main construction project has already been commissioned.
